Character : Um Saloom
1. What do you enjoy most about playing your character?
As we share the same characteristic aspects, I find playing the role of Um Saloom more of being
my self-then acting, which makes me the jackpot of playing this role.
2. What is your characters worst habit/feature?
She's too kind, which makes her a kind of a pushover person.
3. What is your character's best habit/feature?
Innocence, truism and her sincere feelings.
4. Which of the other characters do you like best?
Um Saeed, because she's the original grandmother figure of the UAE society.
5. Which is your favorite FREEJ episode, and why?
The friends gathering, because I loved the guest's characters such as "Kashonah" which's Um
Khammas's friend and "Atheejah" Um Saeed's friend. That episode was like talent buffet from my point of view.
6. Have you been recognized by anyone as the voice of your character?
Yes, actually its how my family found out that I am one of the actors in FREEJ.
7. What do you think of Mohammed's vision for FREEJ?
He's shocked as much as we do about the huge break through and success we made. But he
really earned it because it wasn't the beginners' luck the thing that made him through it's his
struggle and hard work. And I am sure that the next season will prove what I just said.
8. What would you like to see your character do?
Walking with a cane so she can use it to beat up who pushes her over and bosses her around
specially Um Khammas.
